Question

Play audio files in PDF by selecting the file from a dropdown menu

I was wondering if someone could help me set up a dropdown menu in such a way that choosing a song from it will cause the acrobat player to pop up and play it.

I expected the box to let you set actions for each choice, but it looks like you can only set one for the whole thing.  I suppose you need to use javascript to do what I want to do if it can be done?

Right now I have the audio files in a grid at the end of the document.  You click one and it brings up the Adobe acrobat player to play it in a floating window..  You can pause  it and hit a button to get back to the beginning of the musical score and then resume playback to play along with the file.  I might keep this section for beginners learning what file is what, but it would be nice if someone can play the files from the top of the score once they understand how to choose the correct file from the name alone.

Or maybe someone has an even better idea of how I should set up the document.

Thanks for your help.
