Pls activate Acrobat v.9 for Windows for me

I recently upgraded to a new computer and I cannot access my Acrobat V.9 for Windows.  I am told I had a retail license. I spoke to 4 people at 800-443-8158 for over 55 minutes.  They each told me I'd have to pay, I said that doesn't sound right, and then each of them told me Adobe can activate it for me without a fee, but they had to forward me to a different person.  This happened 3 times and I was forwarded to 4 people.  Finally, the 4th person told me I can only do it on this forum.  This is extremely frustrating.  I should not have to pay money just because I got a new computer.  All I want to do is create PDFs, combine 2 PDFs into a single PDF, and delete and insert pages.  Please activate this for me.  The only number I seem to have is [Serial Number removed by Mo].  My email address is [Private mail add removed by Mo].  Please solve this problem for me without a fee.  Thank you,  Paul
