Plugins for Local Open and Save As Local not working

Hi,

We have NetDocuments (a doc mgmt system) integrated with Adobe Acrobat.  So when clicking Open or Save, they default to NetDocuments.

On Acrobat's old UI, there were Open Local and SaveAs Local options under the File menu.  

On Acrobat's new UI, those options are under Menu > Plugins > For Files.  (see screenshot)

There are two issues: (1) these buttons are not working; nothing happens when you click on either option; and (2) why must they be buried under the Plugins menu? Can they be moved out to the main level?

I've reached out the NetDocs support, and they said we have to reach out to Adobe.  So I'm reaching out and hoping someone can provide some information.  Thank you.

I hope you get fortunate enough to find somebody else here who's worked their way past your issue.

 

If you're using the latest version of Acrobat Pro, you may find that changing back to the old interface gets you what you're looking for. One of the things it does is revert to the old pull down menus. You can read more about how to do that, and see if it works for you, by referring to this older post:

    Thank you for your reply.  Yes, the legacy UI works and has the local plugins directly under the File menu.  But the new UI offers the AI features that aren't available on the legacy UI.  Was just hoping to have these local plugins easily accessible and working in the new UI - the same way it works in the legacy UI - for those that want to use the AI features.

    I understand. My focus was to get you past your immediate issue, and I'm glad that you've already come to that conclusion for your current workflow. Unfortunately, I know of no way to get what you want from the new AI UI. It's hard to fight not adding E-I-E-I-O to the end of those two acronyms.

     

    But all is not lost. You can file your request for new features to Adobe, through Adobe UserVoice:

    That puts your request on the record with Adobe and assures that the product development team will see it. That's Adobe's official way of recording and acting on new feature requests. It's worth a shot.
