Question

Pop up wind too big to see on screen

I am trying to add encryption via password to a PDF document in Adobe Acrobat DC Standard but the pop up window is too big to see on the screen and select "OK" at the bottom of the pop up.  I have seen the prior suggestions on the forums about going into "Edit" "Preferences" "General" "Basic Tools" and "Scale for Screen Resolution" with the instructions saying to set it for 100%.  In my version that isn't an option. My options at "Scale for Screen Resolution" are "Auto Detect" or "No Scaling" . I have tried both and neither solves the problem.  Can anyone help with this issue? My need is very time sensitive . Adobe needs to provide far better service. No phone options.. not even chat as an option. Unbelievable.

I just had the same issue but in the E-signature area.   I hit tab a couple of times and then the send button appeared.

Very late response, but I had the same issue and figured out that if you move the bottom taskbar on your Windows screen to the right side of the screen, it allows you to see the bottom of the pop up window and click okay or cancel. Hope that works for anyone else that comes across this!

Hi Sgarwood,

In Edit preferences > Basic tools > Scale for screen resolution, there are only two options provided in the current version which are same as you have mentioned.

I would suggest to keep it on Auto Detect mode.

As you have mentioned above, the pop-up window is too big when encrypting PDF with a password.

Did you try changing the resolution of the screen display of the machine? If not, try to change that and check if that helps.

Could you please share the screenshot of the window you are referring to?

To share the screenshot, use the steps provided below:

- Click on the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

- An Insert Image window will appear.

- Then click on Insert Image and browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

- Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.

Let us know if you experience any issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi
