Popup on start up

I have disabled "Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat" and then clicked OK dozens of times but every time I close and re-open Adobe Acrobat, Adobe has re-checked the box itself. It is really causing a problem and I need to get this resolved.

Have you tried to open Acrobat as administrator, uncheck the box, close the program an re-open?

I have just opened as administrator and unchecked the box and re-opened and it shows as checked again so that has not worked unfortunately.

I have fixed it by Un-checking the Run in compatability mode for Windows 8 (which is what Adobe told me to do to fix another problem!). Thanks
