Posted here earlier today - but it seems to have vanished !

I have a number of identical documents each with 3 boxes that need a person to sign. How can i add the signature box, title and name fields to each one simultaniously rather than 1 at a time.

Hi @paul_7690,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

In case you are still looking for a solution, you can try the below steps to achieve the workflow you are looking for:

Prepare a Master Template with Form Fields

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  2. Go to "All Tools" → "Prepare a Form".
  3. Open one of the identical documents and let Acrobat detect any fields.
  4. Manually add fields if needed:
    • Signature Fields → Click "Add Signature Field".
    • Text Fields (for Title and Name) → Click "Add Text Field".
  5. Save this PDF as Template_Form.pdf—this will serve as your master file.

Create an Action in Action Wizard: Now, you’ll create an automated workflow to apply the same form fields to all documents.

  1. Open Acrobat Pro.
  2. Go to "All Tools" → "Action Wizard".
  3. Click "New Action".
  4. Under "Choose Tools to Add," find "Document Processing" and select "Import Form Data".
  5. Click "Specify Settings", then choose Template_Form.pdf as the source for form fields.
  6. Click "OK" and move to the next step.

Apply the Action to Multiple Documents

  1. Under "Files to be Processed", click "Add Files".
  2. Select all the PDFs where you want the form fields added.
  3. Click "Save" and give your Action a name (e.g., Batch Apply Form Fields).

Run the Action on All Documents

  1. In Action Wizard, select your saved action (Batch Apply Form Fields).
  2. Click "Start"—Acrobat will apply the form fields from Template_Form.pdf to all selected documents.
  3. Once complete, review a few files to confirm that fields were added correctly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that - am struggling as to what the terminolgy refers to though as am new user and find it very complicated and unfriendly to use compared to the system used previously.  Process looks very complicated for what on the previous system took a few seconds.
