Question

PPT notes don't print correctly since Acrobat updates

I used to be easily able to convert PowerPoint notes into a handout that matched the Notes Master template (what’s seen on the View > Notes Page). It made Instructor Guides and Student Guides a snap. I loved it.

When I tried to do that again recently, it only converted the PDF to the Slide view. The Notes are now on a separate layer that can be toggled on or off, but I could not get it to work as it used to. It’s like it no longer recognizes the Notes Master. I even followed the process to convert the PDF from Print view, and it still won’t work.

I’m so frustrated! This used to be a simple, easy one-click asset that saved me time and looked great. Now, it’s inexplicably changed for the worse, and I’ve spent hours and different attempt methods to no avail.

    Hi Christine350637008cup,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

As mentioned, after the recent update, the files were converted to PDF, and the notes are no longer saved as they used to be. Could you please share a PDF that was created before the update, illustrating how it was saved previously?

Additionally, please provide the steps you used to convert the PowerPoint file to PDF. It would be extremely helpful if you could also share a video that demonstrates the options you are referring to.

Lastly, please include the version numbers of Acrobat and your operating system so we can investigate this behaviour further.

Let us know if you need any assistance or have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
