Preflight not working in Acrobat

Question

Hi,The "Preflight" tool is not working for me. I have the latest version of Acrobat. When I click on the "Preflight" option in the "Print Production" panel, nothing happens. All other items in the "Print Production" panel work fine. I got a new computer two weeks ago, and our admin installed all updates. Everything else works correctly. Even in the "Standards" tab, there is a link to "Open Preflight," but that doesn’t work either. Where could the problem be? Could it be connected to some Windows 11 permissions? But then again, the "Edit PDF" tools and text editing work without any problem. Additionally, after starting Acrobat, I sometimes get a popup window about a "manual installation." When I click on it, my browser opens but only shows a 404 error page. Could this be related to the issue? I really don’t know what else to try, and I use Preflight often, so this limitation is quite problematic for me. Thanks in advance for your help.

I hope you are doing well. Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had with the app.

Enable Optional Features via Modify. Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Find Adobe Acrobat Pro. Click Modify or the three dots. A setup window will appear. Choose Next, then Modify. In the installer pop-up, go to Optional Features. Enable Preflight and all sub-features. Proceed with installation. Restart the machine after the setup is complete, and check.

For testing purposes, please disable Protected Mode. Open Acrobat. Go to Menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced). Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup. Set Protected View to Off. Restart Acrobat. Check if you are getting the preflight features. Please enable the security settings after the testing.

Reset the Acrobat's preferences and restart the machine. You may also try a clean installation using the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove the currently installed Acrobat, restart the machine, and download Acrobat from the direct link.

Please note, if this is an IT-managed machine, and the IT team installed/deployed the Acrobat using a package, you might want to check with them if they have any restrictions applied during the package creation and deployment.
