Question

Preserve text box alignment when editing text in Acrobat?

Hello - I have been noticing that each time I edit a text box in Acrobat, it seems to affect the alignment of my previously aligned text boxes very slightly. In other words, if I have three individual text boxes that are horizontally aligned in one row, it seems that editing text in one of the boxes causes that entire text object to get nudged down by a couple pixels, with the result that it is no longer perfectly aligned with the rest of the text boxes on that line.

I am attaching an example of the issue for clarity. In this example I would like to modify the text in the middle box from "Page 1 of 3" to "Page 1 of 2", however making that edit is causing the text object to drop down slightly and fall out of alignment.

Any ideas for a fix???

Thank you in advance!

(I should clarify that the vertical alignment of the text seems fine... it's only the horizontal alignment that seems to be affected.)
