Print button on form created in Acrobat DC wipes out content from fields. Suggestions?

Hi,

I created a form and posted it on the public website of the agency where I work. I'm not new to creating PDF forms, but I am new to Acrobat DC and Adobe CC applications. The form contains fillable fields and two buttons I created within the form creation interface: reset form and print form. I've always provided these two buttons.

A user of the form reported to us that using the print button would print the form but automatically wiped out everything they'd filled in the fillable fields. I test the form and found this was indeed the case. I was unable to find a way to create a print button that did not wipe out the content from the fillable fields.

This seems really odd to me. In general, people want to print a form after they've filled it out. Why would the form creation software wipe out filled-in content, especially without confirming that the user wants to purge the fields?

If anyone else has encountered this and has a suggested workaround that would enable me to include a print button that prints a form with all the filled-in content, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

LDF

There's a "Reset a form" command under your Print button... Remove it and it will work just fine.

Have you checked the scripts for each button?

Have you added any other scripts that might clear the form either through the menu item or JavaScript?

Can you post a link to a non-protected copy of the form?

That's very strange... Did you make sure to give each of those fields a

unique name?
