Print PDF document to always use the default size/page size no matter who opens the document

I want this specific document to always print Legal size (8.5 x 14.0in) no matter who opens it on any computer.

I have set the page size to this.

I have set Print to check off “Choose paper source by PDF page size”
I have instructed others to do the same.

But when we try to print on someone elses computer, it doesn’t print this size, it will print Letter size (8.5 x 11in).

See attached image where it shows the document size is correct at 8.5 x 14in and it’s checked off to “choose paper source by PDF page size”, and yet it’s still choosing to print 8.5 x 11 inches for some reason…

This document is printed multiple times but multiple people, they shouldn’t have to change the size to print every time they have to print this document but I can’t find a solution for this.

You are on the wrong dialog to set the defaults: Go into your document properties (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D), then go to the “Adanced” tab and set your defaults there, and then save the document. That should do the trick:

Not possible. The Print dialog settings are local, not a part of the file. You can create a button in your file that will open the Print dialog with the preferred settings, but you can’t force the user to use them, nor can you change those that are displayed if the user goes through File - Print (or Ctrl-P, etc.), and not the button you added.

What does the default Profile show when you click on the Properties button?

It was showing Letter. So I changed it just now to Legal. Saved it. Tried it on another person’s computer. Still same issue, it shows to print letter size. :/

Did you try creating a new profile under the Properties section?

Dumb question--the printer in question has a legal tray and not just a hand-fed tray. Correct?
