Question

Print size for PDF created for a blog

PDFs created for an online blog are editable just fine in my new Adobe Acrobat Pro DC trial, but when I print them, no matter which setting I try, the print size is either so narrow that I can't read it or so big I can't even see the text.  Surely I should be able to set it in between for the 8 1/2x11 page I want to print and save, but I cannot figure out how to do it.  Can anyone help?  Hoping this is an easy newbie question!  Thanks!

When creating a PDF for a blog, it's recommended to use a standard page size. The most commonly used standard page size for digital documents is 8.5 inches by 11 inches, which is also known as letter size. This size is widely accepted and easy for readers to view and print if needed. It ensures that the content is easily accessible and readable on various devices. Keep in mind that you can adjust the layout and formatting within the PDF to suit your specific blog design and content. for more information

Hi Carolekv,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.

As you are experiencing issues when printing the PDF pages, please try the following:

1. Select "Fit" under Page Sizing and Handling in the print window. See if that helps.

2. To change the page size of the PDF, you may use the following steps:

  • Open the PDF and go to Tools > Organize pages.
  • Right-click on the page and select Crop pages
  • In the Set Page boxes, you may try changing the page size.

Let us know if you have any questions or need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Thank you, Meenakshi,

This did not work.  After looking some more, I think the issue is that the blog contains larger size blocks of text and images and the software sizes them down a ton, or not at all.  I can't get the custom size to work at all.  I have no idea why.  I've even tried pulling it in and editing it, putting it as an image, everything I can think of and it's either a tiny tiny column I can't read or only a big text part of the side of part of one page and also not usable at all.
