Question

Print to Adobe from printable view crashes my browser

I am using Windows 7Pro, IE 11, and Adobe Pro XI. I like to save printable views from various websites as a pdf file on my desktop. I have always selected "print" with Adobe selected as the printer from my list of available printers. For a couple days I have been unable to complete this task as I get a message that a problem with the webpage is forcing IE to close. I have deleted browsing history, re-started IE, repaired the Adobe installation, and even re-booted my computer. None of these actions has helped me solve this issue.

Any suggestions what to do next?

Hi rox,

Have you checked for pending updates? If you have some updates pending try installing them and try again after restarting the machine.

Also, you may try disabling Protected View for testing purposes only, after testing you may turn the protected View back.

To Disable> Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security(Enhanced), Protected view > Off.  Close and relaunch Acrobat.

Then try again. If this fixes the issue check this help page Protected Mode troubleshooting | Adobe Reader  .
