Print to Custom Size 8.5 x 8.5

My Word document is 8.5 x 8.5. When I print to Adobe PDF it comes out 8.5 x 11. The Adobe printer shows 8.5 x 8.5, but it comes out 8.5 x 11. How do I make it create a PDF that's 8.5 x 8.5?

    Don't print to PDF, use the Save As PDF feature instead (File menu), or the Acrobat ribbon.
