Print to PDF .inf

At PREPA (Puerto Rico's government power utility) we have a licensed Acrobat XI Pro, but some depts use Reader too. For some pdf documents or forms, Acrobat doesn't print in pdf, produces an error, but Win10's "Print to pdf" works fine. From an article I found that what Windows uses is an adobepdf.inf, which is not available for Win7.

Not all our machines are Win10, there are still many with Win7; I tried to install the Win10 adobepdf.inf in a Win7 machine and didn't work. So, would Adobe be so kind as to provide an adobepdf.inf that creates a "Print to pdf" for Win7?

    Hey Julio,

We are sorry for the trouble. Would you mind sharing more details for a better understanding?

    • Are you trying to print the PDF file or trying to create the PDF file from a different file format?
    • What is the error message or code you get? Please share the screenshot of the same.

Print to PDF is a PDF file creation process, Adobe Acrobat Reader being a freeware application has limited functionalities and it can not be used to create the PDF file. For more information please refer to the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/reader/faq.html)

If you are trying to print the PDF file, please try to print as an image and see if that works. Go to Print > Advanced > Print as an Image.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards

    Amal
