Print to PDF unavailable

Hi, for creating Booklet Page Layouts I have to Print to PDF, an option that is unavailable in any of my Adobe Apps (Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat). I deinstalled and reinstalled the apps. Working with Mac SOnoma 14.14.1. Tried several workarounds that didn't work (disabling advances Security settings in Acrobat), adding a Airprint Printer with 0.0.0.0 IP address...

I'm very desperate, since directly printing from either Indesign (as a booklet) or Acrobat (as a booklet) doesn't work with the printer settings (even tho I checked the box "flipping on Short side of the page") it doesnt obey that command. Please help with installing this PDF printer or a workaround that actually helps this problem. Thanks.

I'm not on macOS, but I thought that Apple disallows virtual printers. That may be the reason, why print to pdf is not available.

Thanks for your answer, on my former mac it was working, it also works when I print from the browser. Still desperate to find a workaround, how to export a PDF from Indesign/Acrobat in Booklet page arrangement (without manually having to rearrange the pages) tysm for help, pls! Btw. when I try to save the file as Postcript and reopen in Adobe Distiller, the whole page format gets messed up and I can't find a way to adjust it anywhere.
