Printed PDF doesn't match displayed version

When I edited an old PDF, I added some color fill. The shaded portions are displayed on screen but not when I print the doc (and not in Print Preview either). How do I get the printed version to look like the digital version?

      Addendum: The doc also has some colored text, which prints correctly in color. It's only the color-fill areas that don't show up in color.
