Question

Printer Setting for Different Printers - MacOS

Hi Guys,

I recently moved to Mac OS. I have a few different printers in the office and I have to switch all the time for A4, or Labels.

My HP is a A4 printer which is default. But if I want to print 4X6 inch Label, I have to change to my Zebra printer. But if I change to Zebra from HP, I have to change pager setting "Zebra printer, 4X6 label" manually. Same thing if I have to switch from Zebra to HP, I have to manually change the page setting again to A4.

How can I set this up so everytime if I switch my printer, the page setting will change automatically? Like it is in Windows?

This drives me mad. Please help

Regards

Al

You should be able to setup preferences in the System Preferences (equivalent of Windows' Control Panel) for each printer.

Try it with all other apps closed, just in case

Thanks Eric,

Yes, it was the first thing I checked. I have also set up the default setting for each printer in CUPS. Still have to change manually each every time.

Best Regards

Al

Have you tried to change the settings and print before saving the file?

Sometimes, saving a document will include the new print settings specific to that file.
