Question

Printing an image without picture artifacts

I was trying to convert a photo to PDF but everytime i tried adobe added horrible artifacts to the photos text.

Finally i found a third party software that allowed me to convert the photo into a PDF without the artifacts.

Now i go to print the image and the artifacts reappear when printed. The only solution offered that i can find is to print the PDF as an image under advanced settings. This doesnt work however as I need to print the PDF as a poster, and this locks out the "print as image" setting.

Any solutions ? any idea why I continue to pay for Acrobat Pro?

You will find the conversion settings in: Preferences: Convert to PDF

Default settings are not always suitable for all cases.

Hi @Nicholas29356002t1xj

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Would you mind sharing more details about the ''artifacts''? A small video recording or a screenshot of the issue would be very helpful for more clarity.

Is this an issue with a particular image file or with all the files? Please try with a different image file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20470 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
