Printing from adobe acrobat, some text and lines print as blank (white)

Hi,

I recently have tried printing a pdf to a large format printer (the HP Designjet Z5400). Some of the text and a few lines weren't printing, and I only realised when one of my pages happened to have the text against a coloured background that it was printing it as white. When I printed from the InDesign document that the pdf had been exported from (I didn't change anything), this issue didn't occur. Has anyone had the same problem/know what the issue could be?

I also have this problem, but we're creating the pdf from a word file. We're just using a text box on top of a picture and white lines appear around the words - even though they are not visible on the pdf file!
