Printing from an outside source

When I receive a pdf from an outsource, it won't print on my printer. I can print a pdf from my compter, but not one thzt was created on another computer. This also applies to forms generated on a website. 

I get an error message about a "postscript". I have tried everything..resaving the pdf, copying the pdf. All it does is that it wants to save it. I can't get it to print. I've tried to check my settings, but to no avail. 

Can anyone help?
