Printing .pdf pages one a a time instead of two or more

I have a set of documents provided from a company that only seem to be shown to me in Acrobat as two at a time (side by side).  I cannot get them to show up one at a time (one full page following another so that I can print on sheet at a time as desired).

On the lower left, there are options for selecting what I want to see on the screen, but even when I select "one page at a time" it still shows two side by side.
