printing photos to laserprinter

Question

I'm a high school photo and design teacher. I am struggling to print decent-looking photos and design projects from PDF to HP color laserjet. Files print very dark, both photos and InDesign projects we export to PDF. I have 50 students who submit multiple PDFs for me to proof-print, and I can't adjust each file in Photoshop etc.

Are there color conversion settings that might help me print from Acrobat?
