Printing problem when using "PRINT AS IMAGE"

I need to print using the ADVANCED option, choosing PRINT AS IMAGE.  When I do that the print comes out with no black ink.  Is there a work-around for this?

The Print as Image option was designed primarily as a “last resort” option for when there are driver problems as well as for internal use when someone protects a PDF file allowing only “low resolution” printing in which case Print as Image at a low resolution is forced.

The Print as Image option always converts content to RGB and sends that to the printer driver. There is no “workaround” for this.

The better question is why would you need to use this option?

I have a problem. When I make a drawing here https://create.vista.com/colors/color-names/medium-blue/ and then press write nothing happens. What should I do?

Normally the "Print as image" is used to solve problems and not to create them. Acrobat renders your PDF file and that is send as an image to your printer.

When I do print as image any option I would have to manipulate the colours are no more available. As I do not know if the Print as image generates a CMYK or a RGB file (for Postscript printers it is probably CMYK, because the colours are properly separated)  I have to assume that black is included.

My guess is the printer or the driver causing problems.

What is the OS and version?

What is the printer?

What is the Acrobat type and version?

Why are you doing a print as image? As mentioned before, print as image is more a problem solver and should be used only if you have problems printing your document. It does not enhance the quality of your printout, even if the PDF contains pictures.

When to add here - that I'm printing full color labels, with photos.  When PRINT AS IMAGE is selected the photos print out faded.  No black ink.
