Regarding your question: It's not likely that the Adobe activation servers for this version are not working. That's only the case with much older versions. If this is a valid license bought from Adobe then it should still work.

In order to move every user to a subscription format, Adobe is turning off the server that checks licenses of older version of the software.

I think that's why you cannot validate your software. If you bought it recently, yoiu should contact the vendor as this is not fair to you.
