Problem creating a link to a page in the same pdf

I have a problem creating a link to a page in the same PDF (Acrobat Pro). After selecting 'Go to a page view' in the ‘Create link’ dialog box, the window in which I used to select the page number and view magnification doesn't open. Instead a pop-up appears, telling me to use the scrollbars, mouse and zoom tools to select the target view. At first sight this seems to have the same result, but it misses the option to set the magnification to 'variable', which is essential in my case.

After creation of the link you can change the properties of the link.

Thanks a lot, Bernd, this works. Nonetheless, it remains unsatisfactory that I don't understand why I have to make this laborious detour (I have a document with 230 links). Acrobat just doesn't do what it did before (and what I find described everywhere), and I don't understand why it does so. I am sure that it's all me, but what am I doing wrong?

Anyhow, thanks!

It behaved in this way for many versions back now, at least down to Acrobat X. Are you sure you did it the same way you've described before?
