Problem in activation

I am trying to activate the Acrobat Pro 2017 UPDATE, International English, Windows, which I downloaded after purchasing it.  However the system, although, have been able to identify the serial number of the one I purchased, is asking for the serial number of the previous or earlier version, which I do not have.  I have already UNINSTALLED the trial version in order to install the one I purchased.  The system has no other option, hence I cannot activate successfully.

That's correct. You can't install an upgrade license without having a previous full license. I recommend you request a refund for what you bought and purchase a full license, either in the form of a subscription or a perpetual one.
