Hello all, we have some Mac users at my company who are trying to access shared PDF's on the network but they are not able to view comments. I am reaching out to see if anyone here knows if this issue has been fixed yet, or if there is a work around. Thank you in advance.

Problem: Mac (Network Shared Review): Not able to connect to review server if already signed-in to the server through Finder

I have the same issue. I sent out a shared review, pre-populated with comments for the reviewers. My colleague with a MAC opend it in Adobe Reader and all of my comments were absent.
The above issue was posted 2 years ago. Has no one else experienced this?

I'm seeing a similar problem. Windows Users of Adobe Acrobat DC can open the Shared Review and get/publish comments stored on a SharePoint folder without an issue. When MAC Users of Adobe Acrobat DC open the Shared Review they see no other comments and when they try and get/publish comments they see an error message stating the following:

"You do not have access rights to the server.
Contact the author of the shared review."

We have verified the user's in question to have read/write access to the Shared Review comments folder in SharePoint. It seems there is some other issue (security setting?) perhaps blocking the Mac users of Adobe Acrobat DC from publishing comments to the server.

I seem to have found a workaround for the MAC users, it is not as secure feeling as using the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat but it seems to work in my limited trials.

    1. Upload the final PDF file to the online version of Acrobat < https://acrobat.adobe.com >
    2. It will appear on the file list with the Sharing status as Only You
    3. I open the file and make initial Comments to get the ball rolling
    4. Click the Share button in the upper right corner and select Share with Others. (I have tried the other options but this is the only one that works for me 100% of the time.)
    5. Click Get a link
    6. Click Create link when finished
    7. Copy & Paste the link for distribution to your reviewers

I tired the options that send the file directly via email but I didn’t like the email format it sends out in Outlook, plus I didn’t want to mess with my distribution lists in the Acrobat app. The browser version offers the same comment and line editing access to MAC as well as PC users. You lose the control we had with the *_review.pdf files but I think my reviewers will get used to it.
