problem opening password protected pdf in adobe acrobate pro

Hello,

I have been having problems opening some password protected pdf's in adobe acrobat pro.  They appear to be opening fine if I open with chrome browser.

 

Also, if the password protected file does open in acrobat pro, it does not allow word searches.  

 

Can anyone explain why?

        Hi thanks for the replies.  I did not select good pages because the pages that are affected include confidential information.  I will try and find better examples.

          Hi, thank you so much for the reply.   I have selected a couple of pages.  These were scanned as part of a large document, so I do understand they are images rather than text.  But I dont understand how I am able to search when opened in chrome browser but it acrobat pro does not seems to struggle recognising text in the image even after OCR.

          Searching for text in Acrobat works for me.

          Hello again, I am still stumped by this problem.  I would really appreciate feedback.

          Even when I OCR the document in acrobat pro software the text recognition is really poor.  But it does not seem to be the case when the document is opened in for example, chrome browser.  It looks like lots of invisible objects have been added to the document.  The document was originally scanned images but that doesnt explain why I can search within the document when opened in chrome browser but not in acrobat pro itself.  

          Hopefully, there is an expert out there who can help.  Thanks in advance,
