Question

Problem with PDF "Cannot find or create the font 'ArialMT'.

I have a PDF that has fillable fields. When I open it, I get the message in the title.

It's weird because if I repair the installation of Adobe it will open without the warning. However, when I open it again the error comes back.

My guess is it something with the file or my laptop.

Any Adobe experts out there who have any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Search Preflight in the tools tab, select "Preflight", then click "Analyze" at the bottom of the window.  The report says the fonts are not emedded.  Did you create it in MS Word?  This might help:

I forgot to mention that I have that font installed on my laptop.

I ran pre-flight and Analyze and Fix. That did it.

The problem was there was a missing 'SubType'. Whatever that means...

Thank you!
