Hello @Stezzo,
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had with the app and with the printing process.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: Version: 26.001.21563. Planned update, May 18, 2026. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
What is the version of the OS installed? Where does the error appear: on screen when opening/viewing the PDFs, or only in the print dialog/preview when you try to print? Are these PDFs ones you created/scanned yourself, or received from someone else? How were these PDFs created? MS Word, etc?
Quick test:
In Acrobat, go to File > Print.
Click Advanced
Check Print as Image
Print the document
Check if you still get the error message.
Suggestions:
Optimize or simplify the PDF:
Go to All tools > Optimize a PDF.
Adjust optimization settings (images, compression, etc.)
Save a new version
Check embedded fonts and content:
Go to File > Properties > Fonts:
Flatten transparencies (if the file has effects): Some PDFs with transparency effects can cause printing errors.
Go to All tools > Print Production > Flattener Preview
Apply a flattening preset
If you have the source file, then recreate the PDFs, throw the error message, and check. Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
