A signature field is not the same as a text field. A date field is, though.

If you're using the old Acrobat UI, click on Tools - Prepare Form and then on "More" at the right-hand side of the window and then on "Revert to Acrobat Form".

If you're using the new Acrobat UI go to Tools and search for "Prepare Form", then click the "three dots" icon next to "Prepare a Form" on the left-hand panel and then on "Remove e-signing options".

In the future, when creating the form for the first time do not tick the box that says "This document requires signatures", as it converts it to an Adobe Sign form, which has limited functionality.

Thank you all for the answers. The reason it did not work was because I clicked on "This document requires signatures"...

Hi excited_Cascade7344,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please share a screenshot of the specific options you are referring to here. Also, share a screenshot of the options for the signature and date fields that appear for you. Also, share the Acrobat and OS versions on your machine. We will check and let you know whether this is a designed behavior

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Dear Meenakshi Negi,

Thanks for the reply. Here is what appears for me when I look on the properties of the "Champs de signature":

I don't have the ability to configure it as a signature but only as a text.

I have the last version (downloaded yesterday) and am on Windows 11 Professional.

Thanks!
