I'm having the same issue. I downloaded Adobe Reader and it works, but I need the full service app and it won't work so far. I still get "The application Adobe Acrobat can't be opened."

Yes!  I did. Check the adobe acrobat DC (reader) and what happened to me is the extension disapperred after the upgrade. I had to reinstal adobe reader and delete the adobe acrobrat dc

I had the same problem.  Acrobat quit working after the OSX update to 13.4.1

Acrobat uninstaller wasn't working either.

But I was able to fix it:

I went to the activity monitor and quit/force quite all Adobe activity.

Then manually trashed the Adobe Acrobat folder.  And then empited the trash.

The I reinstalled via Creative Cloud.

Acrobat now launches and opens PDFs.

Not sure why this worked - or if/how it was connected to the OSX update or if it was just a coincidental file corruption.

But it worked.

This is the latest version of Acrobat.

I just tired re-booting the machine and the opening Acrobat, but immediately get two error messages:  “The application 'Adobe Acrobat.app' can’t be opened.”  Immediately followed by “AdobeAcrobat quit unexpectedly.”

Just tried quitting all Adoble processes in the activity monitor, but got the same error messages when I tried to re-open Acrobat.

What version of Acrobat? Did you try to reinstall it? Made sure it's updated?

And what exactly happens when you open the application? Is there an error message of some kind?

Just says Adobe Acrobat can't be opened. I've fixed the problem by manual uninstall and reinstall of Adobe.
