Problems with editing links in Adobe Acrobat

I'm not sure if this has been addressed in the community but I have been having some problems with editing links in Adobe Acrobat. Lately every time I try to add or modify a link, the moment I go into the link editing mode, my adobe crashes. I'm not sure why it started doing this but it is ultimately preventing me from modifying any links in my documents. Has anyone else been experiencing this? If so, do you know of any fixes?

Does this happen with all links, in all PDF files? I would try to add a link to a newly created PDF file (e.g. open up Word, and create a PDF from a blank document). If this does happen with all PDF files, the first thing I would do is to repair Acrobat. I you are on Windows, you will have a "Repair" option in Acrobat's Help menu. If this does not fix the problem, my next step would be to remove Acrobat from the system, run Adobe's "Cleaner" tool (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs ) and then install Acrobat from a fresh download.

If this is specific to just a few files or files from the same source, I would blame the PDF files, chances are they are corrupt.
