I have a pdf that I want to encrypt with a password so I open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat DC version 2023.006.20320 and I press "protect a pdf" and it loads a blank panel, and there are no options to give it a password. I'm on Mac OS sonoma 14.0, please fix this immediately. see attached screenshots. Then I go to the file menu and choose "Protect using a password", then my whole Acrobat grays out the document, a white empty box pops up with no options to choose from and now Acrobat is locked up and I cant get out of this screen without force quitting acrobat. Please see screenshot that has the words "testing123" on it so you can see what it looks like when the white box pops up and there are no options to choose from. Acrobat had the same issue on the last version and I reported on this forum MONTHS ago. Looks like the problem is back!

Edit: 10/23/23, I had adobe remote into my computer. they deployed some kind of software called "AcroCleanerMac", then they reinstalled Acrobat but not through the normal creative cloud app. they reinstalled from a link on a website like https://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/APRO/Acrobat_HelpX/osx10/Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI_1014.dmg and that fixed the issue.
