protect comments

Hi'

i would like to protect my comments.

Actually, I write my comment(s) on a PDF file and sign the document.

It seems that it's always possible to modify / delete my comments after signed !!

How can I avoid this ??

(Acrobat Pro 2020)

How are you signing it, exactly?

I imported a scan of my signature

When I sign, Acrobat says it protect form (doesn't say anything about comments)

I need to approve technical sheets, and don't want that someone modify my comments

but ... I want to allow other people to add their own comments (architect, fluid engineer, ...)

Another thing strange: with my previous version, after signing, when I was recording the file, Acrobat was adding "signed" to the end of the file name. Now no more ...

Adding a scanned image of your signature is not signing, not in the digital sense. To do that you must use a Digital Signature field.

And you can lock your comments so that others can add theirs, but they can also unlock them, if they really wanted to.

When a PDF is digitally signed, it should prevent others from editing the content. Is that not happening?

The page below may be useful covering how to protect a PDF:

hi'
1) indeed my comments are not protected, and anyone can modify/delete them
after that I signed
2) I created a signature (by importing a scan)
