Question

Protect editable PDFs on SharePoint so they must be Save As for users to make changes

We have editable PDFs on our SharePoint page.  How do we protect them so that they can be downloaded, the fields filled with the users' text, but then the users must be forced to 'Save As' and save the new file to another area, not overwrite the document on the SharePoint site? We are using Adobe Acrobat.

Hi,

We are using SharePoint online, just moved over from SharePoint on Premise.

Kind regards,

Hi Fiona,

There is checkin-checkout facility in Sharepoint. Whatever you edit in file it gets saved on sharepoint server everytime without asking for save as on another location.

What's your Sharepoint version? Is it online or onpremise?

Thanks

Sanchi
