Question

Protect fillable form, but not signature

I have a form that I'm creating for a dinosaur 🙂  I'm trying to make it as easy as possible since this Covid 19 thing and we're in lockdown.

Basically, I am wanting my boss to be able to edit the form, choose which fee option for a client, add what they discussed etc.  The client then needs to sign this, but not be able to edit anything that my boss has completed.  This is for compliance.

So, how to:

Let a dinosaur fill in the form, easily lock it and send to clients for signing?  He can do basic if I teach him.

He does not have Acrobat. There is no point when he is not admin and would get lost in it.

Add two signature fields. The first is for your boss to sign once the form has been filled in. It can be set to lock all other fields, except for the other signature field, which is what the client should use. You can set it up under the Properties of the Digital Signature field, Signed tab.

Signing can be done using the free Reader, but you'll need Acrobat to set it all up.
