Protected view performance impact

Question

So when protected view is enabled, scrolling in Reader DC is extremely choppy/laggy and slow. When "Enable All Features" is clicked, it's buttery smooth.

It has crashed a few times when copying as well with protected view on.

Tested on 2019.012.20035 and 20036, both behave identically.
Any way to get it running smooth with protected view on?
Any other settings to try out?

There have been a lot of performance improvements since you have last updated. Could you pls. update to the latest version and also provide us with the crash logs to investigate further.
