Punch holes problem

Hello
I'm new to Acrobat Pro. I have many shortcomings about the program. My biggest challenge is how do I remove punch holes after scanning documents? Blackness on the edges of scanned documents on another subject. How can I get rid of them? I would be very happy if you could help me with this. Thank you

What @try67  said is true; you want an image manipulation program like Photoshop. However, @mariahweyne is a very interesting step around the issue using a white redaction option. However, the one potential problem with that is if your scan of the paper isn't white, instead of having round black sections on the page, you'll have whiter squares on the page.

Another alternative is not to scan the holes in the first place. During the setup for your scan, crop the page so that you do not scan the holes. Essentially what's needed here is to use the same logic when scanning that photographers use. That is, the better the original image, the less you have to do after the shoot.

Look for how to crop in your scanning software and use that to not scan the holes. [Note: Acrobat cannot scan. It uses TWAIN software to run your scanner's software (unless you're on a Mac where you have to use Apple's (dreadful) Image Capture), so if you do not see any options on how to crop, check how to do that in your scanner's software.

Documents available in the archive are white A4 paper. As you mentioned, I looked at the menus of the interface software of the Fujitsu fi 3260 scanner. But I think there is something I missed and I couldn't find an answer to the question of how I can do it.

Hi, @Osman Bedir not knowing that software, I cannot direct you for what to find. You will have to get the manual and look for the information.

However, what the eye sees as white does not mean anything to a scanner or a camera. Our eyes are easily fooled into what is white because we are often thinking white when the paper or the light on the paper is making the paper far from "white."

In photography (and scanning), there is the 18% rule that sets an average of how to set the shade of an item to be an average of 18% of the whole image. That's why when you take a photo of snow, it comes out a few shades darker than how it really was. The same goes for when taking a photo of a steam engine: it will come out a lighter shade of charcoal.

That said, there are things you can do with the scanner software that will eliminate or reduce this issue. But you have to know where to look (it may be obvious or not, it can depend). But the answer is not with Acrobat itself, as stated earlier. However, if you learn these issues, you be saving time in the future because you will not need to repair the image after the fact.

While the link below does not affect your needs directly, it can show how learning how your scanning software works can save you mountains of trouble later. This was from a blog I wrote for Adobe years ago.

Good luck!

You can redact them.  Set the redaction color to your background and it works great.

When I redacted as you mentioned, I got rid of all the negativities on the paper. You are amazing. Thank you very much.

This is not really the type of thing Acrobat does. You need to look for an image editing application for something like that, like Photoshop.
