    @isobel336 ,

Could you please share a little more detail about this issue?

For example, is this happening with every PDF you open with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, OR, is it happening with just one specific PDF file?

    • Also, describe in which software environment is this happening: Windows? macOS?  And which versions?

    • If this problem wasn't happening before, can you tell if it appeared after the most recent updates?

    • If No, what happens if you update the software to its current version?

    •  If yes, were any of the steps suggested by @Meenakshi0101  helpful?

    Thank you.

    Hi isobel336,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble caused.

This error is generally associated with an application crash or installation issue and can sometimes occur due to corrupted preferences, incomplete updates, licensing issues, third-party software conflicts, or installation corruption. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Ensure that the application is updated to the latest version.

    • Open Acrobat (if possible) and go to Help > Check for Updates.

    • Install any available updates and restart your computer.

    1. Repair the Acrobat Installation (Windows)

    • Open Acrobat.

    • Go to Help > Repair Installation.

    • Restart the machine after the repair completes.

    1. Try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: Adobe Acrobat crashes.

    2. If nothing helps, try re-installing the application using the steps suggested below:

    • Uninstall the application, then run the Acrobat Cleaner tool from the following link: Acrobat Cleaner tool.

    • Reboot the machine.

    • Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: Install Acrobat.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
