Question

"RAISE without a handler" quitting when zooming

Mac Sequoia 15.7.2
Acrobat Version 2025.001.20982

With certain PDFs that contain largely image data, upon zooming in, I receive the "RAISE without a handler" error and the application quits. I don't have any Acrobat browser extensions installed. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Acrobat and updating and I have tried disabling Protected Mode, no change.

The problem does not seem to occur with text-based PDFs.

Is there anything else I can do to solve this problem?

Update, problem seems to be related to using hot keys, specifically using "command- +" to zoom in. Adjusting zoom with the file menu does not result in this error.

I cannot share the files due to confidentiality issues.  But the problem seems to be related to some sort of metadata included in certain PDF files. OS and Acrobat versions are listed in my initial post.
