Please try the troubleshooting steps as suggested in the following help document if the application is crashing: https://adobe.ly/4dZYfxq. 

Once you relaunch the application, check if you get a message about restoring the PDFs from the last session. If not, we are afraid that it will not be possible to recover the changes in the file. Please make sure that you keep saving the changes you make in a PDF.
