I have the same problem, I really would prefer to be able to re-open my temporary file rather than re-scan more than 100 pages

    Doesnt work ... no worries. I understand how it is supposed to work, but it doesn't

      Hi Purefct,

      We have released an update recently for the Acrobat/Reader in which you have an option to restore the previous sessions.

      Please update the application to get the new features in the application.

      You may refer to the following help document to get more information on the new experience.

      Hi Purefct,

      If you have enabled the autosave feature in the preference window, please refer to the steps mentioned in this help link Saving PDFs in Adobe Acrobat and Reader to "Recover the lost changes after an unexpected shutdown".

      Here is the location to check the temporary folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\

      However, you will not be able to open the temporary file. File in the temp folder gets deleted automatically once you close the Acrobat/ Reader application.

      There is no other option to recover the lost document.

      I would suggest you to keep saving the file on a regular time period to avoid data loss.
