I know this is an old thread but I am having the same issue when creating a PDF from MSOffice document on Mac OSX - the hyperlinks are not preserved.

MacOSX version:  High Sierra 10.13.6

Microsoft Office version:  Office 365 16.17 (180909)

Adobe version (see below):

No problems on a Windows laptop with the Save As... process.

Hi Jamie,

I have pretty much the same set up as you and I just saved a Word document with lots of html links three different ways and all provided viable links.

1) File (menu) -> Print -> Save as PDF

2) File (menu) ->Print -> Save as Adobe PDF

3) File (menu) -> Save As -> PDF

FYI, #1 is done by the operating system (in my (our) case Apple). #2 is done by Adobe (via Acrobat). #3 is done by Microsoft (generally if you are going to have problems, this is the one you'll have problems with).

Of the three, which are you trying this with? Have you tried the other two?

Thanks and let us know.

Hi Gary!

I am using the steps in #3 - go figure.

I will try the other methods the next time I need to do a conversion but old habits die hard.

Thanks for the response!

Jamie

HI Jamie,

Thanks for replying. I'd be very curious for you to test the other two. Of the three, the Acrobat one (#2) "should" give you the best results and the more complicated/complex the page the more likely you may wish to use this. FWIW, I almost always use #1 unless I get some issues. #1 is a tad faster than #2.

I'd appreciate it if you could let us know what you encounter with the other two.
