This is really annoying. I am now overseas travelling for the summer and I cannot seem to get my Student and Teachers Acrobat Pro X1 working. How do I download this version this form your site, then use my product code to activate?

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to install Acrobat XI student and teacher edition on the machine, is that correct?
You can download Acrobat XI trial version using this link: Download Acrobat XI, Acrobat X
You would require a serial number to activate the product. Refer to the steps given in the following help documents for the same: Adobe Student and Teacher edition order fulfillment customers outside North America
