RE: PDF Signing for multiple parties

I'm filling out a form for a friend to come to the US to study. I have this Gov't form but I cannot get it signed. 

 

First, I tried to get him to sign it the normal way but the software will not allow me to send it to him. 

I guess when I sign first the document is then unsignable. 

 

Then I tried the bulk sign and put his email on it and then mine and then created/marked area for the signature but tells me that he can't sign it. He's in China and I'm in the US. My signature is using my pre-created signature because I have an Adobe Paid account. He's signature is written because he doesn't have a paid account is just writing his signature. 

 

1. How can I tell if this is the document or the software? 

2. What are the conditions for this to work to work properly? 

2. For multiple signatures, are the same fields signed or can I have them sign different parts of the same document? 

 

I'll reproduce the document again and post screenshots later today but I need a solution. 

I'm at a point now, where I will sign the document, scan it and send to him to print sign and scan back to me. 

 

Documents I will post: 

 

1. The original Government form 1-134

2. Steps for the first attempt (I sign first)

3. Steps for the 2nd attempt (I don't sign but I add his name first and then mine for signature)

I updated my comments and I want to make this comment. 24 hours after I posted this I think Adobe fixed this and when I  went back I had none of these issues or problems. 

 

I thnk Adobe fixed and added this field:

 

1. The grey e-signature area was no longer greyed. I could access it on the first try. 

2. Sign in order (I never saw that before) on multiple signatoraries. 

 

I was able to sign my document to reach my goal but I need to personally verify somethings. 

 

1. Did the USCIS do this document correctly. I need to email them for a response and I'm doing that now. 

2. I need to test what many signatories means exactly means. 

3. I need to see if I can sign and sign for others or do I need to add myself to the list for others. 

 

I will reply again with that info soon.

Better yet, share the (original) file with us. It should contain instructions on what kind of signature they want on it.

If no other option is available then you should print it out and sign it by hand. Do NOT modify the document by adding fields or anything like that to it. It could cause it to be rejected immediately and in some cases can even be illegal.

Here is the first part of my commitment. The i-134 and the instructions for the document. 

 

I want to understand your comments stated above. I've provided more details for richer comments. 

 

"It should contain instructions on what kind of signature they want on it" -> I could select any type. I could do e-signature, digital signature, stamp, and others. ( I don't have screenshots to show exactly but I'll post later). 

 

"Do NOT modify the document by adding fields or anything like that to it. It could cause it to be rejected immediately and in some cases can even be illegal." -> In the PDF rich app, I had a choice of 4 but in the cloud pdf I had to drag fields. Again, I'll post screenshots later. 

 

Honestly, I don't think the author of this document really understood how to setup this up properly but that's why I'm here before I contact them directly, lol. This is an immigration document...so they may have done this on purpose...

This is the second part of my commitment. Let me state the task first. 

 

He needs to add my name and sign page 6. Then I need to sign page 9. See attached screenshots. Please pay attention to file names for file order. More screenshots coming...

 

Also, can you fix this file upload so it list files by naming and not by time uploaded? I had to delete and reload my files to keep them in order despite naming to list properly by filename.
