Read Out Loud not working with italian

Hi everyone.

I have to check for read out loud in italian a bunch of documents.

It works fine in english, but as i set the language in italian it doesn't work:

Preferences > Reading > Read Out Loud Options > Voice: Microsoft Elsa Desktop - Italian (Italy)

No sound coming out.

If i set it back to english i can hear it.

This is on every PDF file. It works fine on other devices.

Is this a bug? any fixes?

Make sure the documents language is set correctly. Therefore open the PDF, press Ctrl-D for it's properties and check the reading options under the Advanced tab. Also make sure you have installed the desired language for Text-To-Speech (TTS) in your operating system, Acrobat uses its features for reading out loud.

Thank you radzmar you saved the day. The TTS language was already installed in my OS but somehow just changeing it to italian from Windows setting made it work. Neved had to do this step on other devices.
