Received error stating "Currently no form fields in this PDF" but there are.

I am working on a document that has form fields that I need to edit. When I try to edit them, the following dialog box appears. Why? and How can I go about editing these form fields?

When you mouse click on "No" what can you see at the right side under "FIELDS"?

How do you know there are form fields in this file? Did you create them? If so, where did you do it?

I did create them within Acrobat. the form itself is in a questionnaire format.

In that case the file probably got corrupt somehow.
