Wow, I can't believe this has been an issue for so long. I've never experienced this before but I have an older file that I tried to save certain pages of as a separate PDF and it just wouldn't work using Acrobat. I tried changing the settings as described in this thread but no luck. I finally got it to work by simply loading the original pdf in MS Edge and printing from there. How silly is that? Wtf?!

When is Adobe going to resolve this issue? Are any of the Adobe developers reviewing this forum??? This is so annoying. I pay for a subscription that I can't even use! This is ridiculous. It's been months. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe, run a repair, and still the print distiller produces a Text Log error when using the Print function to convert a document to pdf from Word, etc.

RIDICULOUS!!!!!

FIX THIS!

I am having this issue with Firefox.

I'm getting the message below in acrobat pro constantly. Adobe have said there is a bug - its coming up to about 8 months of waiting for this bug to be fixed. I have tried all of the things listed here - as well as Adobe agents remoting in.

Any further thoughts or knowledge of bug-fix timescales?

Thanks in advance, Julie

Same issue. And I am not using Chrome. I am simply trying to Print to PDF by changing the size of the orignal page. I have never had any issues converting files. Now this issue happens.

Hi,
I have the same error since the end of last week...

I'm simply trying to print a PDF in A3 into one in A2. The error appears regardless of which PDF I use.

There are no pending updates and I didn't change any settings, so I have no clue where the problem comes from.

Problem solved... I tried 'repair installation' and deleted the history of the files last used and suddenly it works again.

... and again the problem appears. It's so annoying being forced to work with Windows.

I am having the same error printing out notes slides for PowerPoint.  Has worked fine up until yesterday when I started seeing the same error message you posted.  I desperately need this functionality as we move our lectures to an online format.

This also worked for us

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More. Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
  5. Near the bottom, click PDF documents.
  6. Turn off Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.
